A Better Drawing Tool — Quick Start

A free Bookmap add-on that draws colored zones with hotkeys. That's it.

Setup (one minute)

1. Bookmap > Settings > Configure add-ons > Add > pick the ABetterDrawingTool jar > enable it
2. Bookmap > Settings > Keyboard shortcuts > Add-ons > A Better Drawing Tool
   Bind these three (NumPad 7 / NumPad 8 / NumPad 9 work great):
   • Draw Buyers zone
   • Draw Sellers zone
   • Delete nearest zone (deletes the zone closest to your cursor)

Draw

Point your mouse at a price on the chart, press your key. Green zone = Buyers, red = Sellers. The zone starts at your cursor and extends right, forever.

Adjust

• Drag the middle of a zone to move it
• Drag its top or bottom edge to resize it (the edge lights up when you're on it)
• Point at a zone and press Delete-nearest to remove it (a Delete-last action also exists if you prefer undo-style)

The zones window

A small floating list of everything you've drawn. Delete any zone with its ✕, or everything with Delete all. Closed it? Reopen from the add-on's settings (button at the top) or bind the Show-zones-window hotkey. The ⚙ gear on the window opens all settings.

Settings worth knowing

• Zone sizing: "Fixed pixels" = the zone stays the same thickness no matter how you zoom (default). "Fixed ticks" = a true price range that scales with the chart.
• Colors, transparency, and the white outline are all yours to change.

BookmapData edition

For traders running Bookmap's own data packages (the BookmapData feed) — the same free add-on, in a build Bookmap authorizes to run on those feeds. It's a separate static download, kept off the auto-updater.
